Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’d Buy Right This Second

TTTbooksidbuy

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s topic is…ten books you’d buy right this second if someone handed you a fully loaded gift card!

I don’t remember the last time I did a TTT so since I’m trying to get out of my blogging slump I figured I’d jump back in this week! I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer! I’m not really one for the really hot heat so honestly at this point I’m ready for fall. I’ve been day dreaming about pumpkin everything already and it’s only just August. I need help haha! Anyways, there have been a lot of books I’ve wanted to pick up this summer but haven’t because I put myself on an informal ban (minus gifts and apparently Book Outlet sales hahaha) so I think this list should fill up pretty quickly 😀

Thissavagesong

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

This may be the book that breaks my weak buying ban. I WANT IT SO BADLY! I’ve heard amazing things and I literally can’t wait!

embergood

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

I originally read the library copy of this and now that the second book is about to be released I’ve been wanting to get my own copy. If I had a gift card I wouldn’t hesitate to order it!

illuminae

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Another book that I read from the library and am really wanting to own! I don’t know what it is but I feel like when I get a gift card I always like to use it to get some books that I’ve already read and loved! I always tend to use my book money on new releases which is actually kind of a gamble. Maybe I need to change my purchasing habits haha!

theunexpectedeverything

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

Ever since I read Since You’ve Been Gone I’ve been wanting to pick this book up! Summer just screams contemporary to me.

whenwecollided

When We Collided by Emery Lord

I’ve had this on my buy list for what feels like ages! Have any of you read it? What did you think?

no-where but here

Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry

I’ve been intrigued by this series for a long time, but I’ve just never committed. Though if I had a gift card I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t hesitate!

wicked

Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is one of Jennifer’s books that I haven’t had a chance to read yet, but of course I really want to! Especially now that book two is out!

blackcrow

Black Crow by J.L. Weil

I read the first book in this series last summer and remember really enjoying it so I definitely wouldn’t mind continuing with the series 😀

queenofhearts

Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes

I’m not going to lie this probably would be a cover buy for me. I’ve had it in my hands only to put it down a more than a few times. I’ve heard some mixed things about it but I still want it because that cover calls to me hahah.

thestartouchedqueen

The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi

This is another book I’ve had my eye on for quite some time!

What books would you buy if someone handed you a fully loaded gift card? Have you read any of these books? What did you think? I love hearing from you 😀

  1. I understand the struggles of keeping to a self-imposed book buying ban. My self-control is taking a few hits haha. This Savage Song is definitely worth breaking the ban for as is The Unexpected Everything. This Savage Song is basically everything you can expect from a Schwab novel; dark and complex, while The Unexpected Everything is the perfect summer read. I couldn’t stop smiling as I read the book. So I’m going to be a bad influence and say that the book ban gods will happily turn a blind eye if you happened to accidentally click on the buy button. 😉

Hahahah! The temptation is so real right now it’s not even funny! Especially since as it’s August my time for summer reading is dwindling, right?! Is that a good excuse, haha! And This Savage Song is definitely joining my shelves it’s only a matter of when haha 😀
