June in Review

juneinreview

Hey better late than never right?!?! 😀

I swear I’m going to stop wishing for more time in these monthly reviews because I feel like every time I do, the next month is even busier. I have to say June was a pretty incredible month! Maybe not for reading (not that it was bad but it was pretty slow) but in pretty much every other aspect! Can’t beat that really! I hope you guys all had a great June and that your July is off to a lovely start! (Notice the complete lack of my wish for more reading/blogging time…reverse psychology anyone?).

What I read…

theproblemwithforeverThe Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout
acourtofmistandfuryA Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
captive princeCaptive Prince by C.S. Pacat

My favorite read this month was…

A COURT OF MIST AND FURY…by far. Sorry other books but ACOMAF was literally everything I ever wanted out of it and more. Not to mention it was about 3 million times better than ACOTAR. So if you were on the fence after the first, don’t let it stop you from continuing on because holy crap does it get amazing! All I can say is Rhysand <3

  1. I can’t wait to read Vicious and This Savage Song!!! I need to read ACOMAF, but I’m kind of hesitant because I didn’t like ACOTAR. I also want to read Captive Prince because I’ve heard so many mixed things so I’m super curious haha.

Don’t be hesitant to read ACOMAF because I thought it was like a trillion times better than ACOTAR. Actually after reading ACOMAF I went back and looked at my rating for ACOTAR and realized I was probably a little generous with my rating, or maybe that book just pales in comparison to is successor. Who knows, haha! Seriously though it was a lot better, especially if your a fan of Rhysand 😀 I enjoyed Captive Prince, definitely more so towards the end as I felt the beginning was kind of eh. That being said after reading the ending, I think that the series is headed in a very interesting direction so I’m interested to see what happens. I’m thinking the second book is going to be be better. We’ll see 🙂 Let me know what you think when you read it!

  2. GAME OF THRONES! It can sometimes take up to an entire day for me to write up a review post and yet somehow I managed to write my ranting and raving Game of Thrones post in the space of 2 hours haha.
I am so thrilled to see that you enjoyed The Raven Cycle. I will never not love Blue and my Raven Boys. I still don’t feel like it really is the end.
The Savage Song was such an epic book. If you’ve liked Schwab’s previous works then I am sure you’ll love this one. 😀
I’m glad you had an amazing June and I hope July is equally as wonderful. 😀

Thanks so much!! Oh my gosh I can totally understand where you’re coming from. Sometimes writing reviews can be like pulling teeth for me and other times they flow out like it’s nothing. And I still have yet to figure out what makes the difference!I loved The Raven Cycle so much! I’ve already contemplated reading it but my giant TBR is yelling at me for even thinking it, haha!

I’m really excited about This Savage Song!! I’m glad to hear you liked it!
